Kapa

Kapa, or the kappa coefficient, is a statistical measure used to evaluate the agreement between two or more raters or methods when classifying items into categories. Unlike simple percentage agreement, it accounts for the possibility that some agreement might occur by chance. A kappa value ranges from -1 to 1: values close to 1 indicate strong agreement beyond chance, 0 means agreement is due to chance, and negative values suggest disagreement. It’s commonly used in research and quality control to assess the reliability of subjective assessments, ensuring consistency and accuracy in classification tasks.
