Kantianism

Kantianism is a philosophical approach developed by Immanuel Kant that emphasizes the role of reason in understanding morality and knowledge. Kant believed that our moral actions should be guided by universal principles, known as the "categorical imperative," which asserts we should act in ways that could be universally applied. Unlike earlier rationalists who sought knowledge solely through reason, Kant argued that both reason and sensory experience are essential. He sought to bridge the gap between rationalism and empiricism, asserting that our understanding of the world is shaped by both innate concepts and empirical experiences.
