
Kaʻiulani
Kaʻiulani was a young Hawaiian princess born in 1875, known for her intelligence, grace, and dedication to her people's heritage. As a member of the Hawaiian royal family, she became a symbol of Hawaiian identity during a period of political change, including the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy in 1893. Although she was only a teenager at the time, she actively advocated for her people's rights and preservation of Hawaiian culture. Her life reflects both the beauty and struggles of Hawaii’s history as it transitioned from an independent kingdom to part of the United States.
