Julius and Edith Frank
Julius and Edith Frank were the parents of Anne Frank, the famous Jewish girl who documented her life during World War II. Julius was Anne’s father, a businessman born in Germany, and Edith was her supportive mother, also German-born. They moved to the Netherlands in search of safety from anti-Semitic laws in Germany. During the Holocaust, the family hid in a secret annex in Amsterdam to escape Nazi persecution. Tragically, Julius died in Auschwitz in 1945, and Edith perished in Bergen-Belsen later that year, leaving Anne and her sister Margot to perish in concentration camps.
