Julie Tullis
Julie Tullis was a British mountaineer and climbing educator known for her significant contributions to the world of high-altitude climbing. She gained recognition for her expeditions in the Himalayas, including attempts on K2 and other challenging peaks. Tullis was respected for her skills, determination, and pioneering spirit as one of the few women to tackle some of the world's toughest climbs during the late 20th century. Tragically, she died in an accident on K2 in 1992, but her legacy inspires future generations of climbers, particularly women, in the male-dominated field of mountaineering.
