Johnathan Jarvis

Johnathan Jarvis is a distinguished American historian and conservationist who served as the 17th Director of the National Park Service from 2009 to 2017. He is known for his efforts to protect and preserve national parks and public lands, promoting public engagement with natural and cultural heritage. Prior to his federal service, Jarvis was the chief of the U.S. Park Service's Pacific West regional office and worked extensively in conservation and environmental education.
