John Akıncı (historical figure)

John Akıncı, also known as John the Conqueror, was a notable 15th-century Ottoman military leader and Bey of the Akıncı, a group of irregular troops. He played a significant role during the early stages of Ottoman expansion into Europe, particularly in the Balkans, leading raids and securing territories. His tactics involved swift, surprise attacks, which destabilized regions before the main Ottoman forces advanced.
