Jogo de Capoeira

Jogo de Capoeira is a dynamic blend of martial arts, dance, music, and culture originating from Brazil’s Afro-Brazilian communities. It features fluid, rhythmic movements, kicks, and acrobatics performed within a circle called the "roda." Participants, called players or "capoeiristas," engage in strategic, non-contact interactions that emphasize agility, timing, and responsiveness. Capoeira also involves singing, clapping, and instruments like the berimbau, creating a vibrant, communal atmosphere. It serves both as a form of self-expression and physical fitness, embodying a rich cultural heritage that balances art, sport, and history.
