Jiva

Jiva, in Indian philosophy, refers to the individual soul or life force that animates all living beings. It is considered eternal, pure, and distinct from the physical body, representing the true self. Jiva experiences the world through senses, mind, and intellect, accumulating karma (actions) that influence its cycle of birth, death, and rebirth (samsara). Spiritual growth involves realizing the Jiva’s true nature beyond ego and material attachments. In essence, Jiva is the conscious experiencer within each living entity, seeking liberation (moksha) by awakening to its divine, unchanging nature.
