Jim Prentice
Jim Prentice was a Canadian politician and lawyer who served as the 14th Premier of Alberta from September 2014 to May 2015. A member of the Progressive Conservative Party, he held several cabinet positions in the federal government before moving to provincial politics. Prentice was known for his pragmatic approach to governance and efforts to address economic challenges in Alberta, particularly related to the oil industry. His tenure as Premier was marked by efforts to balance the budget and implement fiscal reforms amidst a downturn in oil prices. Tragically, he passed away in a plane crash in 2016.
