Jeste's Law

Jeste's Law, formulated by psychiatrist Dilip Jeste, states that "the capacity for wisdom increases with age." It suggests that, as people grow older, they tend to develop greater emotional regulation, perspective, and understanding of complex life experiences. This implies that wisdom is not merely a function of intelligence or knowledge but is also deeply influenced by life experiences and maturity. Therefore, older adults might provide valuable insights and judgments that younger individuals, who may have more knowledge but less experience, might lack.
