
Janani Luwum
Janani Luwum was a prominent Ugandan bishop and Christian leader in the 1970s. He opposed the oppressive government of Idi Amin, speaking out against human rights abuses and injustices. Because of his resistance, he was arrested and eventually murdered in 1977, making him a symbol of courage and faith in standing up for justice. His legacy is remembered for his dedication to his church, his country, and his commitment to advocating for truth and righteousness despite great personal risk.
