J.J. Pershing

John J. Pershing was a prominent American general during World War I. Born in 1860, he played a key role in leading the American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) to victory on the Western Front. Pershing emphasized aggressive tactics and the importance of a unified American army. His leadership contributed to the Allied victory in 1918. After the war, he was promoted to General of the Armies, the highest rank in the U.S. military.
