
J.B. Stradford
J.B. Stradford was an influential African American businessman and community leader in the early 20th century. He made his fortune through real estate, developing neighborhoods for Black residents when segregation limited opportunities elsewhere. Stradford also founded the Stradford Hotel in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a luxurious establishment for Black travelers and visitors. His work helped improve economic independence and boost African American enterprise during a time of racial segregation, leaving a lasting legacy of entrepreneurship and community empowerment.
