Ismailism

Ismailism is a branch of Shia Islam, originating in the 8th century. It differs from other Islamic sects primarily in its leadership and interpretation of religious teachings. Ismailis believe in a line of spiritual leaders known as Imams, who they view as divinely appointed and infallible. The sect emphasizes the importance of knowledge and reason in spiritual matters. Ismailis also focus on social justice, community service, and the ethical application of faith in daily life. Today, the Ismaili community is diverse, with a significant presence in regions like South Asia, East Africa, and the Middle East.
