Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is a branch of Iran's military established after the 1979 Iranian Revolution. It functions independently of Iran's regular army and is tasked with protecting the country's Islamic system, maintaining internal security, and supporting Iran's political and military influence regionally. The IRGC also has a significant economic presence through various enterprises.
