Islamic charities

Islamic charities, known as "Sadaqah" and "Zakat," are acts of giving supported by Islamic teachings. Zakat is a mandatory almsgiving (usually 2.5% of savings) meant to assist those in need, helping to purify wealth and promote social equity. Sadaqah refers to voluntary charity, which can include donations of money, time, or effort to help the poor, support community projects, or promote good causes. Islamic charities often operate through organized institutions to ensure donations reach the intended recipients, fostering compassion, social justice, and community support in accordance with Islamic principles.
