Iroquois

The Iroquois, also known as the Haudenosaunee or Six Nations, are a group of Indigenous peoples in northeastern North America, traditionally comprised of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, Seneca, and Tuscarora nations. They have a rich cultural heritage with sophisticated social, political, and spiritual systems. Historically, they formed a powerful confederation to promote peace and cooperation among their nations. The Iroquois played a significant role in North American history, especially during colonial and early American periods, and continue to maintain their cultural traditions and sovereignty today.
