IPCS (International Programme on Chemical Safety)

The International Programme on Chemical Safety (IPCS) is a global initiative established by the World Health Organization (WHO), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Its primary goal is to promote safe chemical management and protect human health and the environment from harmful chemicals. IPCS provides scientific information, assessments, and guidance on chemicals to help countries develop policies and regulations. It also facilitates international collaboration to ensure that chemical safety standards are consistent worldwide, ultimately aiming to reduce risks associated with chemical exposure through better awareness and control measures.
