intuitionistic fuzzy sets

Intuitionistic fuzzy sets extend traditional fuzzy sets by considering not just how much an element belongs to a set, but also how much it does not belong, along with a degree of uncertainty. Each element has three values: a membership degree (how strongly it belongs), a non-membership degree (how strongly it does not belong), and a hesitation (uncertainty) value that captures the limited knowledge or ambiguity. This approach provides a richer framework for modeling complex, imprecise information, especially when there is uncertainty about an element's association, enabling more nuanced decision-making and analysis in uncertain environments.
