Inti (Inca Sun God)
Inti was the ancient Inca Sun God, worshiped as the most important deity in their religion. Considered the ancestor of the Inca rulers, Inti embodied the life-giving power of the sun, essential for agriculture and sustaining life. The Incas built elaborate temples and rituals to honor him, especially during the festival of Inti Raymi. They believed that their emperors, the Sapa Inca, were descendants of Inti, emphasizing his divine significance. As a symbol of authority and vitality, Inti played a central role in Inca culture, religion, and governance, reflecting their deep reverence for the sun as a divine force.
