Intersex People

Intersex people are individuals born with physical sex characteristics—such as chromosomes, gonads, or reproductive organs—that do not fit typical definitions of male or female bodies. This variation can be evident at birth or become apparent later in life. Intersex traits are natural biological differences; they do not imply any health issues or need for treatment. Recognizing intersex people emphasizes the diversity of human development beyond traditional binary notions of male and female, promoting understanding, acceptance, and respect for all bodies.
