Interruptions
Interruptions are events that temporarily pause or disrupt a process or task, requiring attention or action. Think of them as interruptions in a conversation or activity that divert focus from what you're doing. In technology, interruptions are signals sent to a computer's processor to alert it to prioritize a different task, often because immediate attention is needed. These can come from various sources, like notifications or hardware requests. While interruptions can be helpful for addressing urgent issues, too many or poorly managed ones can disrupt flow and efficiency.
