International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO)
The International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) is the world's premier mathematics competition for high school students. Held annually since 1959, it brings together top young mathematicians from over 100 countries to solve complex mathematical problems that test their creativity and problem-solving skills. Each participating country sends a team of up to six students, accompanied by coaches. The competition involves solving challenging problems ranging from algebra to geometry and number theory. The IMO not only promotes mathematical talent and education worldwide but also fosters international friendships among young scholars passionate about mathematics.
