International Behavioral Insights Team
The International Behavioral Insights Team (IBIT) is a specialized group that applies behavioral science research to improve public policies and programs around the world. They analyze how people make decisions in real-life situations and design interventions—called “nudges”—that encourage better choices without restricting freedom. For example, they might adjust the wording of messages to increase voter turnout or improve public health compliance. Their goal is to help governments and organizations create more effective, efficient policies by understanding and influencing human behavior in a respectful and ethical way.
