Internally Displaced Persons

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are individuals who are forced to leave their homes due to conflict, violence, natural disasters, or other crises but remain within their country's borders. Unlike refugees, they do not cross an international boundary. IDPs often face similar vulnerabilities and hardships, such as loss of property and access to basic services, but they are under the protection and jurisdiction of their own government. Their displacement is a serious humanitarian concern, requiring aid and solutions to restore safety and stability within their country.
