Intercept

In statistics, the intercept is the starting point of a relationship between two variables. Think of it as the predicted value of the dependent variable when the independent variable is zero. For example, in a sales forecast model, the intercept would represent the expected sales when the marketing spend is zero. It provides a baseline level before considering the effect of other factors. The intercept helps to understand the initial status or baseline from which changes happen as other variables change.
