Institute of National Remembrance

The Institute of National Remembrance (IPN) is a Polish government institution responsible for researching and documenting Poland's history, especially regarding periods of oppression like Nazi and Soviet rule. It preserves historical records, educates the public, and promotes awareness of Poland's struggle for independence and sovereignty. The IPN also investigates war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crimes of totalitarian regimes.
