Institute for Research on Poverty

The Institute for Research on Poverty (IRP) is a research organization dedicated to studying issues related to poverty and economic well-being. It conducts and shares research to better understand why poverty exists, its effects, and how policies can reduce it. Based at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, IRP aims to inform policymakers, community leaders, and the public with evidence-based insights to help develop effective solutions for reducing poverty and improving economic security for all.
