Inspiration4
Inspiration4 is a private space mission launched by SpaceX in September 2021, marking the first all-civilian orbital flight. It carried four non-professional astronauts—including a philanthropist, a medical researcher, and a health care worker—aboard a Crew Dragon spacecraft to orbit Earth’s orbit for three days. The mission aimed to demonstrate that commercial space travel is possible for private citizens and to raise funds for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. It showcased advancements in space tourism, making space accessible beyond professional astronauts, and highlighted the potential for more inclusive and commercially driven space exploration.
