inorganic acids

Inorganic acids are chemical compounds that contain hydrogen and another element, usually a non-metal, and can release hydrogen ions (H⁺) in solution, making them acidic. They are called "inorganic" because they do not contain carbon-hydrogen bonds, unlike organic acids. Examples include hydrochloric acid (found in stomach acid and used in cleaning), sulfuric acid (used in batteries), and nitric acid (used in fertilizers). These acids are important in industry and laboratory applications, and their strength varies from weak to very strong, depending on how readily they release hydrogen ions.
