Inns of Court

The Inns of Court are historic professional associations in London that serve as the training and professional bodies for barristers (lawyers who represent clients in court). There are four main Inns—Inner Temple, Middle Temple, Gray’s Inn, and Lincoln’s Inn—that provide education, resources, and a supportive community for aspiring and practicing barristers. They also organize events, uphold standards, and facilitate the pathway to qualifying as a barrister through practical training and exams. Essentially, they are vital institutions that uphold the standards and tradition of the legal profession in England and Wales.
