Innate ideas

Innate ideas refer to concepts or knowledge that we are born with, rather than acquired through experience. In the context of intuition, these ideas can manifest as a deep, instinctive understanding of certain truths or principles, like feelings of morality or basic logical reasoning. Philosophers like Descartes argued that these ideas are part of our natural endowment—essentially, they are built into our minds. This contrasts with the belief that all knowledge comes from sensory experience. Thus, innate ideas suggest that some understanding is inherent and not solely learned from the world around us.
