Infant CPR
Infant CPR is a lifesaving technique used when a baby stops breathing or their heart stops beating. It involves two main steps: giving gentle rescue breaths to provide oxygen and performing chest compressions to pump blood. To do this, you position the baby on a firm surface, cover their nose and mouth with your mouth to deliver cautious breaths, and use two fingers to press down gently in the center of the chest just below the nipple line, pressing about one and a half inches deep at a rate of 100-120 compressions per minute. Proper timing and technique are vital for effective resuscitation.
