Inequality-Adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI)
The Inequality-Adjusted Human Development Index (IHDI) is a measure that assesses a country's overall development by considering not only health, education, and income but also how evenly these benefits are shared across its population. Unlike the standard Human Development Index (HDI), which provides an average picture, the IHDI adjusts for inequalities, showing how disparities in wealth, education, and health impact the wellbeing of everyone. A high IHDI indicates both strong development and fair distribution of resources, while a large gap suggests significant inequality affecting overall quality of life.
