Incompatibilism

Incompatibilism is the belief that free will and divine foreknowledge cannot coexist. If God knows everything that will happen in the future, including our choices, then it seems like our choices are predetermined, undermining our ability to choose freely. Incompatibilists argue that true free will requires the possibility to choose differently, which is incompatible with a future known in advance by an omniscient being. Therefore, they maintain that if God has perfect knowledge of our decisions, we may not have genuine freedom in making those decisions, leading to a conflict between divine foreknowledge and human free will.
