Inchon Landing

The Inchon Landing was a daring military operation during the Korean War on September 15, 1950. U.S. and United Nations forces executed a surprise amphibious assault on the port city of Inchon, located behind North Korean lines. This bold move aimed to outflank the North Korean army, who had advanced deep into South Korea. The operation was strategically successful, enabling UN forces to recapture Seoul and reverse early North Korean advances, ultimately turning the tide of the war in favor of the South. It is considered a brilliant example of military planning and execution.
