Imperial Airways

Imperial Airways was a pioneering British airline operating from 1924 to 1939, established to connect the UK with its colonies and territories around the world. It played a key role in developing long-distance flying routes, using early aircraft to carry passengers and mail across continents and oceans. The airline helped expand global air travel and set standards for international aviation. In 1939, Imperial Airways merged with other airlines to form British Overseas Airways Corporation (BOAC), the forerunner of modern British Airways.
