IDP
IDP stands for Internally Displaced Persons. It refers to individuals who are forced to flee their homes due to conflict, natural disasters, or violence but remain within the borders of their own country. Unlike refugees, who cross international borders to seek safety, IDPs often face numerous challenges, including lack of access to basic services, security threats, and loss of livelihoods. While they are protected by national laws, the situation for IDPs can be precarious, as they may lack adequate support and resources to rebuild their lives and often live in temporary shelters or camps.
