Iceberg Model
The Iceberg Model is a way to understand complex issues by visualizing them like an iceberg. The visible part above the water represents obvious problems or behaviors. However, most of the iceberg—like thoughts, beliefs, values, and assumptions—lies beneath the surface, influencing what we see. Recognizing this hidden part helps us address the root causes of challenges rather than just the symptoms, leading to more effective solutions. Essentially, the model reminds us that what’s visible is only a small part of a deeper, often unseen, system.
