Hypovolemia

Hypovolemia is a condition where the body loses a significant amount of blood or fluids, leading to a decreased volume of blood circulating. This can happen from bleeding, excessive sweating, dehydration, or other fluid losses. When blood volume drops, it can cause symptoms like dizziness, weakness, rapid heartbeat, or low blood pressure. If untreated, it can impair the body's ability to deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues, potentially leading to shock. Treatment usually involves replenishing fluids through drinking, IV fluids, or addressing the underlying cause of fluid loss.
