Hypothermia

Hypothermia occurs when the body loses heat faster than it can produce it, causing the core temperature to drop below 95°F (35°C). This condition can happen in cold weather, cold water, or prolonged exposure to wind and rain. Symptoms include shivering, confusion, fatigue, and in severe cases, unconsciousness. Hypothermia can be life-threatening if not treated quickly. To prevent it, dress warmly in layers, stay dry, and limit time in cold environments. If someone shows symptoms, gradually warm them and seek medical help.
