Hunter-gatherer

A hunter-gatherer is a member of a society that survives by hunting animals and gathering wild plants, rather than farming or raising domesticated animals. They typically live in small, mobile groups that move frequently to find food resources. This lifestyle relies on in-depth knowledge of the environment, seasons, and animal behaviors. Hunter-gatherers were the predominant way of life for humans for thousands of years before the advent of agriculture. Today, some groups still maintain this way of life, although most of the world has shifted to settled, farming-based societies.
