human reproductive anatomy
The human reproductive system includes organs that enable humans to produce, nurture, and deliver offspring. In males, key components are the testes (which produce sperm and testosterone), the system of ducts, and the penis (used for sexual intercourse and ejaculation). In females, primary organs are the ovaries (which release eggs and produce hormones), the fallopian tubes (where fertilization often occurs), the uterus (where a fertilized egg develops into a fetus), and the vagina (serving as the birth canal and for intercourse). Both systems are highly coordinated to support reproduction throughout a person's life.
