HTLV-2
HTLV-2 (Human T-cell Lymphotropic Virus Type 2) is a virus that primarily infects certain immune cells in humans. It is related to other similar viruses but is generally less associated with serious diseases. Most people infected with HTLV-2 show no symptoms and may not know they have it. The virus spreads mainly through blood contact, sexual activity, or from mother to child. While it's less clearly linked to health problems than some related viruses, ongoing research is examining any potential health effects. In most cases, infection remains asymptomatic and does not require treatment.
