HRAS

HRAS (Harvey Ras) is a small protein within our cells that acts like a switch to control important processes such as cell growth, division, and survival. It is part of a family called Ras proteins, which transmit signals from the surface of the cell to its interior, influencing how the cell behaves. When HRAS functions properly, it helps keep cells healthy and active. However, if HRAS becomes mutated or its activity is abnormal, it can lead to uncontrolled cell growth, which may contribute to the development of cancers.
