House of Commons (Poland)
The House of Commons in Poland, known as the Sejm, is the lower house of the parliament responsible for creating and passing laws, overseeing the government, and representing the people’s interests. Composed of elected representatives, the Sejm plays a key role in shaping national policy and approving budgets. Members are elected every four years through proportional representation. The Sejm works alongside the Senate (the upper house), and together they form Poland’s legislative branch. Its operation ensures democratic participation and governance, influencing laws on economy, education, security, and other vital issues.
