Horcruxes
Horcruxes are magical objects from J.K. Rowling's "Harry Potter" series. They serve as a means for a dark wizard or witch to achieve immortality by splitting their soul and embedding a part of it within an object. This process requires committing murder, which fractures the soul. As long as the Horcrux exists, the individual cannot fully die, even if their body is destroyed. Horcruxes are central to the plot, representing the extreme lengths some will go to evade death and the consequences of such dark magic.
