Holy cities of Islam

The Holy cities of Islam are three sacred places that hold special religious significance. Mecca, in Saudi Arabia, is the holiest city, home to the Kaaba, the direction Muslims face during prayer, and the destination of the pilgrimage called Hajj. Medina, also in Saudi Arabia, is where the Prophet Muhammad is buried, and it serves as a center for spiritual and community life.
