Holland Theory

Holland Theory, also known as the Holland Codes or RIASEC, suggests that people and careers can be categorized into six types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional. It proposes that individuals are most satisfied and successful in careers that match their personality type. For example, someone who enjoys hands-on activities might thrive in a Realistic role, while a person who values creativity might prefer Artistic careers. The theory helps guide career choice by encouraging people to choose work environments aligned with their natural interests and preferences, promoting greater job satisfaction and success.
